Mt Buller and Mt Stirling have been buried in a deep dump of fresh snow over the past week or more as a mid-winter storms delighted locals and the second week of school holiday visitors.
Local snowboarder Robbie Walker exploded his way through pillows of fresh snow while mountain operations crew were busy de-icing chairlifts and getting the resort lifts rolling for fun-filled powder days.
Snow flurries continued to fall up until Friday and the wintery magic has skiers, snowboarders and the alpine community celebrating the perfectly times storms – and a far better season than seen for the past few years.
The mountain has been alive with kids' activities and the Magical Mountain characters, particularly Blake the Flake, popping up out of the magic forest trees.
Mt Buller opened additional lifts and terrain over the past week including the popular Standard run and by this past weekend all lifts were operating and visitors loving the deep fresh white.
