Juggling jobs, time and families - the women of the ski patrol excel

As mentioned in Ed Mahon's wrap of the ski patroller's 75 Years celebrations all this season, women have been a part of the ski patrol for almost 60 years and play an integral part in the rescues and care of the injured. They come from all walks of life and backgrounds and many have had their contact and interest through parents who have also been a part of the patrollers.

The likes of Kris McMillan and Sami Lawrence, Ally Laidlaw, Tess Hainville (who currently trains 'Chilli' the snow patrol pup), and Katie Balfe jut to name a few of them. Many of these dedicated women juggled jobs, motherhood, families and still find their time to volunteer their time to ski patrolling.

Our hats go off to these ladies of the snow fields - thank you to all of you.
