Emerging snow athletes named

SNOW Australia in April announced the athletes who have been selected to the Emerging Talent Program (ETP) for 2025.

The 2025 cohort is made up of 65 athletes in total - 25 female, 41 male - with 30 of the athletes named in the program for the first time.

2025 continues to see the program grow with the more of Para Athletes and inclusion of Para Nordic and Freeride disciplines.

ETP athletes are nominated by Pathway coaches relative to discipline specific talent identification criteria, nominated athletes are then required to submit an introduction video, along with an individual performance plan to support their nomination.

Snow Australia’s Performance Health & Talent Manager, Ben Bond, said that the athletes in the 2025 program represent the exciting talent Australia holds as they welcome many new athletes.

“We received over 100 quality nominations this year across all of our sports,” Bond said.

“The talent depth and breadth is on a steep trajectory currently in Australian Snow Sport which is really exciting to see.

“Whilst we welcome many new faces to the program for 2025, we hope that those moving on to the next phase of their performance pathway journey take with them many lessons learnt during their time in ETP.”

The ETP athletes came together at the National Snow Training Centre (NSTC) for a Season Launch Camp over May 30 - June 1.
