On Wednesday 11 June, the Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors (APSI) hosted the 2025 Trainers Coordination at Mt. Buller, bringing together 140+ instructor trainers from resorts across the country for a full day of professional development.
This annual event is a key fixture in the APSI calendar, designed to support the resorts bring consistency and alignment in the delivery of their in-house instructor training programs.
Led by APSI Technical Committee Members, participants took part in both indoor and on-snow sessions covering curriculum updates, assessment standards, teaching manual updates, implementation of the newly developed Customer Service model along with pedagogical and technical training.
Beyond the technical content, Trainers Coordination plays a vital role in connecting Australia’s snowsports instructor trainer community. It provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, collaborate, and build a shared understanding of how best to support instructor development at all levels.
The strong turnout and high level of engagement reflect the commitment of Australian snowsports schools and the collective drive to maintain a high standard of snowsports instruction in Australia.
A huge thank you to Mt. Buller for hosting and supporting such a successful event and we look forward to seeing its positive impact across all resorts this season.
