The 2025 winter season has ushered in renewed confidence across the alpine property market, with strong buyer interest and sales activity in both Dinner Plain and Mount Hotham.

At Dinner Plain, established chalets between $750,000 and $950,000 continue to attract discerning buyers seeking generous, move-in-ready alpine homes.

Recent sales include 4 Sorrel Place, 4 Billy Button, 4 Sundew Lane, and 12 Halter Lane.

Land sales have also gained momentum, with 1 Reedy Creek Lane and 1 Burrinjuck Lane among the latest transactions.

Vacant land is showing signs of resurgence, with several allotments selling for around $150,000.

Notably, there is growing demand for larger, premium sites as buyers seek to create bespoke alpine retreats.

Mount Hotham’s prestige market is leading with architecturally designed chalets making an impact.

Key listings include 9 Skyline Terrace ($2.6 million), 4 Skyline Terrace ($3.5 million), and the landmark 6A Skyline Terrace, offered at $3.49 million - one of Hotham’s largest, free-hold luxury chalets.

Entry-level properties also remain in demand, appealing to lifestyle buyers and investors alike seeking both enjoyment and rental returns.
