THERE'S a new and exciting event happening in Mansfield on Saturday March 11.

Mansfield and District Potters is excited to announce the first ever Mansfield Pottery Festival.

The first annual event of the Mansfield Pottery Festival is set to happen on the Labour Day weekend this year, Saturday March 11, 2023.

An initiative of the Mansfield and District Potters Group (or MAD Potters), the aim of the festival is to bring the lovers of clay together – those who make and those who appreciate this artform.

Potters from all over Victoria will set up their stalls under the shady trees in High Street of Mansfield in what will be a sensational display of pottery and ceramics.

The Market will include wheel throwing and hand building demonstrations and a free 'clay play' table for the kids to get their hands in the mud.

Live music and food vendors will all add to the vibe of the festival.

This is an opportunity for potters, local and beyond, to come together to showcase the diversity of clay, make new customers and for visitors to engage directly with the potters.

Mansfield Shire Council expects an estimated 10,000 visitors to the area over the Labour Day weekend because it's one of the loveliest times of the year to enjoy the district.
