MANSFIELD played host to approximately 170 motorbike riders last week as the KTM Adventure Rally made a pit stop, exploring the best that the region has to offer.
Adventure Rallies are not a new thing in Australia, with the first one being held in 2016 here in the High Country.
Since then, trips in various areas of the country have been run, now returning back to where it all started.
The five day trip was rescheduled after flooding impacted trails in the area in late 2022, delaying it by months.
The trip started at Lake Hume and travelled through Mansfield, Bright, Dargo and Dinner Plain before returning back to the start, travelling 1500 kilometres of alpine peaks and valleys, complete with river crossings.
Mansfield Shire Council Mayor Cr James Tehan said, "It was great to see the KTM Australia Adventure Rally in Mansfield last week after the event was delayed in 2022 due to flooding.
"We hope all participants enjoyed the five day event and everything the High Country has to offer."
