Changing management last season the Merrijig Motor Inn from the outside does not look much different from before, but step inside and see the changes that have been made.
Now under the management of Buller Hospitality, the Motor Inn is still there to accommodate skiers, snowboarders, school groups and snow lovers for both food and accommodation.
Opening from 7am seven days a week, the Motor Inn caters for those travelling to the snowfields early in the day.
Serving piping-hot coffees, egg and bacon muffins, ham and cheese (and tomato) croissants, hash browns and chips and hot jam donuts from early morning, what else could warm the tummies of those wanting to get to the mountain in time for those first runs down the freshly groomed slopes.
The day continues in the food line with pizzas (available from 12noon) – a great range to choose from and being served all day.
On Monday nights the specialty of the week is parma’s with karaoke – come along enjoy the fun of the night – from 7pm to 8pm. Make up a table of friends, enjoy the warmth of the fire and a great parma.
At the opposite end of the food serving and dining area, the Motor Inn still accommodates those who need to hire some suitable clothing for the snow.
And those all important snow chains for the car are also available.
A special service for guests who stay at the inn is the 'rent and pick-up' for skis and snowboards – order your equipment at the hire shop and then pick up on the mountain at BSL.
This service allows more comfort for travelling without the hassles of having to find room for skis and snowboards either in your car or on the bus shuttles.
The Motor Inn is open every day from 7am through to 6pm with late night serving until 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Mondays.
