FRONT and Centre, a regional dance competition held in Mansfield over the weekend of March 25 and 26 in the Mansfield Performing Arts Centre (PAC) was a big hit recently.

More than 500 students participated from the surrounding areas as well as local students from the Madison Academy of Dance (MAD).

Locals Emily Doig, Miki Murakami and Tayla Rekers, all placed in their competitions.

Tanya and Miki won first place for their Duo, and also took out first and second in their contemporary solos.

Tayla gained a first and Miki a second.

Emily also took home places, coming first for her own choreography and contemporary solos, and third in her jazz.

Due to these great achievements they all have qualified for the Nationals, which will take place in Queensland next year.
