An arty start to 2023

ARTS Mansfield President Gill Belle is looking forward to a busy 2023 as she extends an open invitation to the community to attend their annual general meeting and learn more about the organisation.

The year's calendar is still being drafted but features a wide variety of events including pottery, photography, writing and a variety of art workshops.

Ms Belle believes the arts have never been more relevant to community resilience and that volunteering is really rewarding.

"In 2020 and 21 with COVID we were very busy and, ironically, the committee ended the year energised and uplifted," she said

Last year, the group established the MACS – Mansfield Arts Collective Studios, a space for artists to create, display and exhibit their work.

This year's meeting will be held at the Delatite Hotel on Tuesday, February 7 at 6pm and Ms Belle invites all who are interested to come along and maybe even nominate for a committee position.

"The only pre–requisite to becoming a committee member is that you are a financial Arts Mansfield member," she added.

All positions on the committee are open, and nomination and membership forms are available on the Arts Mansfield website www.artsmansfield.com.au.
