MANSFIELD'S High Country Bakehouse took home multiple awards at the annual Victorian Baking Show in Bendigo last March.

Owner and baker Daryle Williams and his previous apprentice Korey Poole collected six awards between them.

Daryl said he was "incredibly proud of the High Country Bakehouse team".

"We have an award–winning team here, which is very exciting," he said.

Fellow owner Irene Williams extended specific praise to talented baker and French stick expert, Korey Poole.

"Korey was our apprentice, but has completed his training and is now a fully qualified baker," Irene explained.

"He was so ecstatic to receive his awards and we are so thrilled he is receiving recognition for his work."

The bakehouse was recognised for their gourmet pull–apart loaves, high top half married bread, French sticks and white rolls.
