Colorado Crested Butte

The beautiful Colorado town and resort of Crested Butte is found off the beaten track in the Gunnison National Forest of the Rocky Mountains. Originally a mining town, the village still retains the charm and character of its historical roots. The area has made a name for itself as a backcountry riding, Nordic skiing and ski mountaineering hub, within the splendour of the Elk Mountain range.

The resorts terrain is diverse and naturally flows from the blue and green groomed rolling runs to the extreme features found on the North Face and Headwall. The in-bounds double diamond runs will keep the heart pumping for adrenaline junkies and for the intermediates and beginners there are generous and forgiving corduroy trails allowing for skiers and snowboards to improve and up the ante. One of the perks of being a bit more secluded is that there are less crowds at this winter haven. Less crowds means shorter lift lines and an exhilarating feeling of freedom.

Much of the accommodation is ski-in ski-out or slope-side with a mix of hotels, condos and lodges. To invigorate the mind and body there’s galleries, live music, bars and a delectable spread of cafes and restaurants to satisfy everyone’s appetite. Crested Butte is where true adventure awaits.
