Austria St Anton am Arlberg

Famous around the world as one of the best ski resorts, St Anton is as exciting and extreme as it is huge. The resort is part of Austria’s largest inter-connected ski area, St Arlberg. The Flexenbahn gondola links St Anton with St Christoph, Stube, Lech, Zurs, Strocken and Warth meaning an enormous 305km of riding possibilities and this entire winter kingdom is covered under the Ski Arlberg Lift Pass. Dynamite riders and anyone searching for even more adventure will find it in the 200km of designated off-piste. Intermediates and beginners will relish the variety of groomed runs catering for all abilities and St Anton has first class ski schools offering exemplary guiding and tuition. If “jelly leg” is the order of the day the Valluga’s minor summit is an eye watering 2650 metres and the highest point accessible to riders.

St Anton is one of the world’s longest established and historically significant winter resorts. The village lives up to its reputation for dependable snow fall, majestic vistas and a buoyant apre ski scene. The day is not complete without raising a toast at the infamous Mooserwirt or Krazy Kanguruh and continuing the merriment through the night.
