INTERNATIONAL Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is being celebrated in Mansfield with a display of artworks at the Mansfield Visitor Information Centre.
Open to the public up until December 9 the showcase of arts has been produced by artists of all abilities who attend the Yooralla Mansfield Community Hub.
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD)is held on December 3 each year and although this occurred over the past weekend there is still time to recognised the talents of this community.
"We celebrate their talent and diversity and thank them for allowing us to display their work and encourage you to come and have a look," said a Mansfield Shire Council representative.
IDPwD is a United Nations (UN) observed day celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
IDPwD is an opportunity for all to make positive changes to the lives of the 4.4 million Australians with disability.
The Mansfield Visitor Information Centre is open every day from 10am to 4pm.
