How long have you been a ski patroller? Since 1994, I was a lifty and was doing Volunteer Ski Patrol on my days off and then became a paid patroller in 2003.

Where do you normally live? Out of winter I live in Brisbane now and have done so since the mid 2000’s when I went to work with Queensland Ambulance and I’m still with them as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic.

What is the best part of being a ski patroller? It’s a rewarding job overall and we have a great team, plus being out on skis is something I really enjoy too.

Do you ski or snowboard? I ski

Do you ski/snowboard anywhere else? I’ve been lucky enough to patrol overseas on our exchange in Tignes in France a number of times and I worked in Canada when I was a lifty and ski patroller as well and had some great trips to Japan and the US as well.

What do you enjoy most about visiting Mount Buller? As I said above, the team here is great and It’s a great community, and when it’s top to bottom it’s the best skiing in Australia!

Do you have a favourite place to go after a day on the slopes? A hot shower some days and wherever the team is heading out to.

What is your favourite run on Mount Buller? When we have the snow and the conditions are right, Main Street is great and I really like Hogs Back, Outer Edge top to bottom is great too…..the list goes on.
